Savor & Salvage

This past July we had the absolute pleasure of hosting our monthly farm to table dinner with Still Interiors at their warehouse. The evening took place under the olive trees, amongst beautiful salvaged goods, in an outdoor garden space. It was a breathtaking night of culinary exploration, where every course was carefully crafted with the month’s seasonal organic and local produce, family style of course. Each dish, fostering a connection to the land and the community around us.

We couldn’t have asked for a better community, as this incredible event was the result of multiple local women-owned businesses coming together. Thanks to The Nest at Still Interiors where we were able to dine under olive trees. Sip Sip Mobile Bar who provided handcrafted cocktails and mocktails to kickstart the evening’s happy hour. Rye Goods for their sourdough made from scratch. Lemon Bar Bakery for their homemade and delicious cake as a sweet end to the evening. And of course our incredible tablescape with centerpieces and tomato bud vases from Floraltique, curated ceramic goods from Nomade Home and our favorite touch: our plates hand-made by Glazed Garage.

At Lighthearted Kitchen we always aim for quality and transparency so we always choose nutrient dense foods and love to educate our guests on their essential goodness. For the first time we added a backside to our menus to explain each course and its benefits!

We kickstarted our evening with shots! Of our olive oil + apple cider vinegar green gazpacho, that is. Throughout the evening we shared sourdough and peach marinated olives, herby compound butter, hamachi crudo with yuzu vinegar, an heirloom potato salad and local sea bass caught off the baja shore with summer squash. We’re all about bringing the farm to the table and leaving you feeling better than when you came!

It was a pleasure to serve you and see how our community of women-owned small businesses came together to create such a beautiful summer evening filled with connection over a love of food.
