This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies Lighthearted Kitchen uses, why, and how you can control them.

What we use today

The Lighthearted Kitchen platform uses strictly necessary cookies — the cookies that keep you signed in (authentication and session), keep the site secure, and let core features work. These are required for the service to function and are not used for advertising.

Payments are handled by Stripe on Stripe-hosted pages; Stripe may set its own cookies there as described in Stripe's privacy and cookie notices.

Analytics and other non-essential cookies

We use PostHog, a product-analytics service, to understand how the site and app are used — for example which pages are visited and how features perform. PostHog stores a first-party identifier in a cookie and in your browser's local storage and records page views and interactions; when you are signed in, that identifier is linked to your account. Analytics data is sent through our own domain to PostHog's servers in the United States. We do not use it for advertising and we do not sell it. Beyond that analytics cookie, we do not run advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels on the platform. You can block or delete the analytics cookie in your browser without affecting sign-in or core features; blocking the strictly necessary cookies described above may prevent you from signing in or using core features.

Your choice. You can turn analytics off or on at any time on Privacy choices (also in Settings → Privacy when you are signed in). We honor the Global Privacy Control browser signal: while your browser sends it, analytics stays off. In the United States analytics is on unless you turn it off; everywhere else, and when we cannot tell where you are, it stays off until you choose. Your choice is remembered on that browser for 12 months and, when you are signed in, on your account.

Our online store

Our separate online store at shop.lightheartedkitchen.com is built on Shopify and may use analytics and advertising technologies (including a Meta pixel) under its own store privacy and cookie settings. Those are distinct from the platform described here.
